McPhetres Memories

On Sunday March 12th, a historic Juneau landmark burned to the ground. The building may be gone, but the memories remain. Join us Monday night at 8 for McPhetres Memories, a call-in program featuring your memories of McPhetres Hall. Built 50 years ago as the parish hall for Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, it's been a downtown Juneau focus of concerts, plays, and thousands of community events. Share your stories, live on the air, this Monday night at 8, on McPhetres Memories, on KTOO-FM, Juneau.

KTOO to host Travel Art Show

KTOO will host Travel Art Show and is looking for submissions!

During the month of January, KTOO will be hosting a show of art by local residents, with the theme of travel

The exhibition is open to all kinds of artists, but is limited to work ready to hang, with a maximum size of 20" x 30", or free-standing, if a pedestal is provided. Trip photos are welcome! The art must arrive at KTOO during business hours between January 2nd and 5th, unless other arrangements have been made.

An opening night celebration is planned for Friday, January 6th at KTOO.

The works will not be judged, but since there is limited space at the station, not all art may fit in the exhibit, scheduled to run during the month of January. The works will not be offered for sale.

As part of the exhibit, KTOO-FM will also host a series of slide shows during the month, featuring images of people's travels, in the downstairs Conference Room. Please let us know if you'd like to show your travel pictures.

For more information, please call Jeff Brown at 463-6425.
