Joe Rohan @ The Hangar

You may hear Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Police, John Hiatt, Tom Petty, Black Crowes, Counting Crows, Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Dave Matthews, Radiohead, Damian Rice, Stone Temple Pilots, Maroon 5, Blue Merle, Coldplay and many others but the style is definately all Joe's. With personal approaches to each of the tunes he covers he is able to serve up songs that are reassuringly familiar yet offer a bit of the unexpected. These blend perfectly with his original songs and creates a vibe that is easy to relax into.

Recognized two years in a row at the Cleveland Free Times Music Awards as Best American Roots Artist in 2004 and Male Singer/Songwriter of the Year in 2005 Joe has an engaging stage presence and strong voice. If you like what you hear you can buy his CD, recently released at the Cleveland House of Blues release party.

The Flying Other Brothers

This Wednesday, 9:30 pm at the Hangar on the Wharf.

From Amazon.com: "The Flying Other Brothers are a fixture on the West Coast jamband scene. With some of the Bay Area's best musicians -- including Pete Sears (Rod Stewart, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna) on keyboards, Barry Sless (Phil Lesh & Friends, David Nelson Band, Kingfish) on lead and pedal steel guitars, and Jim Sanchez (Dr. John, Roy Rogers, Maria Muldaur, David Nelson Band) on drums -- the Brothers have developed a unique sound that combines the best of the old and new San Francisco."

From Alaska State Fair Home Page: "FOB has opened for the Temptations, Hot Tuna, Leftover Salmon, Jay Leno, Devo, Beck and Ratdog. While they sustain the sounds of classic bands like the Dead and the Beatles, Flying Other Brothers has developed its own brand of music from this tradition."

Just Dirt on 4th of July

8 year old Pacific Northwest band Just Dirt brings their high energy, tight college and mainstream rock to the Hangar. Tight arrangements, heavy guitar riffs and partying seem the main ingrediants here.
"We are here to have a good time," said bassist Dave Burrington.
Check out the pics and sample song list below and off to their website if that don't satisfy ya.
